My name is Michelle and I am the owner of The Furry Godmother. I offer a range of pet care services that include dog walking, dog overnight sitting, cat sitting, and small animal pet care in Norwich, Poringland and the surrounding villages.

About Us

My passion for animals started at an early age. I always had animals growing up (rabbits, dogs, hamsters) and after taking in a stray cat, I became a weekend volunteer at a cat rehoming centre and loved it, staying for 10 years caring (and rehoming!) many cats along the way.

With a huge love for animals and a growing concern for animal welfare, I also chose to study Animal Science & Welfare as a mature student where I graduated with a foundation degree.

I am a huge animal lover and I currently have 2 cats and 2 guinea pigs, all rescue of my own but would have many more if I had the room!

Dog Walking

For dogs of all shapes and sizes! Whether it’s puppies enjoying their very first walk, group walks from the same household or an older dog who might prefer a slower-paced wander.

Cat Sitting

Cats are very territorial, so are less stressed and are happier in their own environment. Our cat sitting service is a win-win for you and your cat. They get to keep their routine without the stress of going for a trip and staying at a different location.

Small Animal Care

Our experience of smaller pets has taught us they all often have lots of character ! We know how important it is to provide them with daily contact to keep them happy and content. Our service provides daily or twice daily visits whilst you’re away.
